SAMI Integration Technical Manager

Biography

Fahad holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Fahad's career began at Petro Rabigh, where he worked as a Maintenance Engineer, ensuring equipment efficiency and compliance with safety procedures. He then joined Intel Corporation in USA, where he held various roles, including Senior Process Development Engineer and Integration Segment Lead Engineer. At Intel, Fahad worked on developing multiple transistor nodes, including 10nm, 7nm, and 5nm technology.  Fahad was instrumental in transferring Intel 4 technology to Ireland and sustaining tools and processes for Fab 34 startup.

Currently, Fahad is an integration technical manager at SAMI in Riyadh. He leads technical development activities, manages procurement processes, and mentors junior engineers. In addition to his technical role, Fahad is responsible for the department's training and upskilling, having organized more than 66 training sessions covering various topics in the fiscal year 2025. 

Fahad has also contributed to research and academia, serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Davis, and publishing several papers in reputable journals and conferences. His research interests include manufacturing, design, and experimental validation. 

In addition to his professional and academic pursuits, Fahad has received numerous awards, including the Intel PTD BE Etch Divisional Awards and a National Science Foundation Funding (USA). He is also a student private pilot and an open-water diver.
