IBM Quantum Senior Ambassador
Dr. Ahmed Al-Qatatsheh leads IBM Quantum’s business in the Middle East and Africa, overseeing quantum strategy development, research collaborations, and industry engagement. An IBM Senior Quantum Ambassador and Qiskit Advocate, he is also a distinguished researcher in materials science, nanotechnology, and quantum computing, with affiliations across several international universities and research centers. His work bridges academia and industry, focusing on practical applications of quantum and nanoscale innovations in aerospace, defense, healthcare, and sustainability. Before joining IBM, Dr. Ahmed held leadership roles in global automotive, electric vehicle, and consulting companies, and has collaborated with premier research institutions such as ANSTO, CSIRO, and IMCRC. His research has advanced new quantum computing architectures and algorithms for materials discovery and superconductivity, while his nanotechnology work has enabled breakthroughs in sensing, actuation, and carbon capture. A passionate advocate for STEM education and Industry 4.0, Dr. Ahmed actively promotes international collaboration, mentors young scientists, and advises policymakers on the strategic adoption of emerging technologies
